The Rhyme Game is a free browser game that trains freestyle rap. A ball travels across a four-beat grid; one word appears per bar; you have to say a word that rhymes with it at the moment the ball lands on beat four. That single constraint — rhyme on the beat — is the skill the game drills.

What the game does

• Six built-in beats spanning 82–142 BPM, from lo-fi to drill
• Eight word themes, from everyday vocabulary to abstract concepts
• Seven rhyme schemes (AABB, ABAB, ABBA and more) plus a free mode
• Four difficulty levels and configurable hint strength
• A daily challenge with the same beat, theme and scheme for everyone
• Optional mic mode — on-device timing verification, never recorded
• Custom beats: load your own audio file and tap in the tempo

Why it exists

Most freestyle practice advice is vague — "just keep going". The Rhyme Game makes one part of the problem measurable: can you land a rhyme in the pocket? The game gives you a tight feedback loop you can repeat in five minutes, which is far more useful than an hour of unguided mumbling.

Microphone and privacy

Mic mode is optional and off until you switch it on. When it is on, your audio is analysed inside your browser to measure when you speak — the recording never exists: it is not stored, not uploaded, and dropped the moment you turn mic mode off. See our privacy policy for the full detail.
